Product Description

A Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) is equipped with a rotating Cutter Head, for cutting and fragmenting hard soils. The soil is sucked up by means of dredge pumps, and discharged through a floating pipeline and pipes on shore, to a deposit area. In some cases, the material is discharged into split hopper barges that are moored alongside the Cutter Suction Dredger. These split hopper barges unload the soil at the deposit area. What is the specifications of our cutter suction dredger

A. General
Such as dredger (Trailing suction, cutter suction, bucket, Grab, shovel stone, mud and stone)
With strategic partnerships with DONGPENG shipyard, UniSite is able to provides the construct, repair and maintenance service as well as kinds of dredger equipment

B. Construction
The construction is to be built according to the drawing with rules of good workmanship and to be built the longitudinal frame system.
All penetrations of longitudinal through transverse bulkhead are closed with slot plate or stiffeners are interrupted at bulkhead and continuity is realized with brackets, to ensure to avoid any abrupt changes in strength structures.

C. Materials
All fabricated steelwork used in the construction of the dredger will be to manufacturing standard of UniSite or other classification society.
All steel used to be blasted and shop primed both sides.
All materials proposed will be selected to comply with the latest Health and Safety Rules.
Paint systems for hull protection will be of the highest quality (Hempel, Inter, Sigma, Jotun)

D. Welding
All welding will be performed in accordance with drawing and order and UniSite experience and all welding will be continuous.

E. Workmanship
The workmanship on the hull and fittings throughout have good marine practice. Care are taken to ensure fair lines, smooth surfaces and neat welding. All materials and equipment installed in, or delivered with the dredger will be new and of good marine quality.
